There is something to be said for waking to rain on a Sunday morning...slept until 8, (wow)- and had the ever-so-evil cottage cheese breakfast salad (what..?????!!!!) for break- LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! 4B- 1 c. lf cottage cheese, 1 c. low sugar pinapple, 3/4 c. low sugar mandarins, and 3 crushed macadamias...that is yummy. My man and I then checked out Hancock for a matinee. It's a beautiful day, despite the rain!! Kitty was prepped in the flick, so when my man and I got a little snacky watching Will Smith spank some bootay, I readily whipped out....wait for it.........wait for it.........nectarines and string cheese!!!!! Victory is mine.
Lunch- one for the books for me- thoroughly enjoyed 4 oz. chicken, the 1B salad, 2 c. cooked zucchini, and blackberry/raspberry tossed with cinnamon. This is a meal fit for kings!
I'll get back to you after supp......carry on fellow freaky zoners..............
7 PM Supp- shrimp, asparagus, brocc, salad, strawberries, EVOO. Nice and clean- but am still a little hungry, so about 1/2 c. grape tomatoes w/ 1/4 c. red onion....1/2B extra veggies. Meal was 4B plus about 1/2b carbs.
What a glorious day of rest! The rain really helped to set the mood. Almost ready for more Crossfit.....almost....
SNACK @ 8:45- I am a little hungry, too- cottage cheese (the devil), mandarins, 1 macadamia. Why do I feel guilty about the cottage cheese? I guess because I know it's not paleo, and I think that's where I'm headed, just not ready to commit just yet....everything is a choice........
It has been a great day, food wise. I have felt great all day- been a little hungry at times, but not overwhelming. I resisted the urge to fit in another snack. Has anyone else felt this way? My meals were as accurate as I can figure @ 4B each, and clean....but there were definitely times when I was hungry within 4 hours- not so much am to lunch, but lunch to supp and then supp to snack. My afternoon snack was had in the movies at around noon, lunch was more like 1:45-2PM today.....
Total- 14B plus 1/2B carbs

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah. So funny you called me a Gazelle two of my best girls who I used to run with almost every day nick named me the gazelle!!! At the end of the Murph final mile I so wanted to walk but I told myself " c'mon you hiked the grand canyon rim to rim in a day stop whinin and run!!! I love a WOD but I also love when i am at the end of a WOD too!
ReplyDeleteAnd.. yes I eat the entire hard boiled egg... mainly because on both zone and paleo the whole egg is eaten. I do have some of the egg white stuff but I mainly have been cooking only whole eggs for the boys and myself. Actually works out great because all of my boys like hard boiled eggs and if I pre-make a bunch of eggs it makes breakfast super easy.
Do you recommend I buy the Zone menu book you have? I am so busy during the week and anything that saves a little time for me would be great. And by all means... post any recipes you think
J and I shopped today at both Costco and Target and really stocked up. If you haven't hit Costco yet.. you must. They have some really good products. I know I told you about the filets but they also have great frozen shrimp, scallops and mixed berries. Aslo, bulk packs of zone I have only found them at Target) dark chocolate Zone Bars... these are really tastey... they remind me of thse ice cream trests i had as a kid... great memories!!!
Super job on your movie snack way to be prepared (if you and Paul decide to have kids you are going to make a great mom... being prepared and discipline are two of the skills you have down girl!
OMG, I hope you can understand my comment went to preview it and posted instead!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the zone sunday. I was not so diligent. I started off great and then my best friend came to town and it was downhill from there. I went to bed with a good zone snack so I could sleep off the bad day. Back on today and will have no slips this week.
