FRIDAY!!....and a GREAT zone recipe....

5Am- up & 1/2 zb. Train like a mama with Spartan 300. Check it: 4 rds of 5-10-15-20-25: thrusters, burps, wall balls, burps, kbsdlhp's. A killer. Shout out to my girl for pulling me through it- high pulls were 50 lbs, thrusters just 65 but all we wanted, 20 lb wall balls.

8- Break- the 'old fashioned oatmeal' breakfast- total 4b- oatmeal with applesauce & cinnamon, 3b canadian bacon, 1 oz. cheese, 1 tbs slivered almonds.

Lunch- I just had this crazy conglomeration of a salad that was nice, nice, nice. I am cleaning out pieces of this and that to get ready for a Costco trip today. 4b (as close as I could figure this one): salad greens with onion, brocc, banana peppers, blueberries, canadian bacon, cooked egg whites, BV & EVOO. Applesauce for dessert. I am feeling great today, so glad to be home to my man and to train right, eat right. Pretty much know now for sure that I am a 4 blocker.....yes, I have STILL been playing with it a little!

Snack @ 3:30- string cheese and 1/2 apple. I have felt great all day food wise, but I am yawning by 4PM...I am pretty wiped out from the week.

Dinner- great recipe for Zoned Chicken Lasagna! makes 2 4b servings. Delicious...in the 'Meals in Seconds' book, but I can post if requested....it is worth it- perfect for 2!

Snack @ 10- raspberries and cheese

Off to bed, get ready for Murph tomorrow. I feel a 'what was I thinking?' coming on.....

  1. RE: Early Morning Eating. I would do a zone snack about 1-hr before WOD. Many of the early morning CrossFitters are playing with this now, and its been a frequent question this first week. Tweak the Zone "template" the way you need to get all of your blocks in at the end of the day. If I were working out at 6am I would have a Zone snack before, then a Zone meal after. Otherwise I would have to get up and eat an hour earlier to be able to digest a Zone meal before my WOD. I don't think you need to get up at 4am unless you really, really want to!!!
