Up and coffee; Snack of hb egg, cherries, avacado. Tried honey for the first time in my cafe- was a little leary to use a full tbs (years of 'sugar' propaganda)....

WOD: 400m run, 50 wbs, 400m run, 50 ghd situps, 400m run, 50 kbs, 400m run. JBrod mentioned a love hate thing, I second that. Me and girl MK ran the 1.5 after, then added some, looking for the 2 miler. We ran for about 18 minutes, so we feel we went more than 2 mi. Not a Kate pace, but fairly steady. :)
I am going to give 12B with 2x fat a try. Meals will now be 3B with 6B fat. Trying to keep it as paleo as possible. The pb will be a challenge for me, but I am committing to cutting it back. I likes me some peanut butter, but I find that it can get out of control pretty quick.
QUESTION: is almond butter OK for paleo? I mean the ab at Ada's, in the machine goes almonds, ab comes out.......No? since it is 'processed'??
Breakfast: 3B hb eggs, 1B eggplant, 1B grape tomatoes, 1B grapefruit. 3B avacado, 3B almonds.

Lunch- 1B (less than) salad with about 3B chicken. Added 1B grapefruit and 1B apple, 6B almonds from trusty little lunchbox.

*OK- ixnay the honey. SO not using since 1/2 tbs. = 1B. Sorry. Nay nay said the pilgrim. So this has been a major oversight on my part, since I used some in coffee this am and then in hot tea this evening before I realized it; poured out my tea. I am going to count what I estimated being used today as an extra 1B. I cut back at supper because of this. I'd MUCH rather eat.

Supp- 1 buffalo burger: this weighed out @ 3oz. I am equating this to lean beef (< 10% fat), which is allowed @ 1.5 oz. thus I added a hb egg for a full 3B, 1B brocc, 1B salad. No ketchup, small victory. Added 6B avacado.

Today was my first day as a 12B girl, and it went pretty good, actually. We'll see how it progresses. I am interested in how a full week of 12B with 5 WOD's will work, and then ultimately, how this will affect my performance in the Saturday Specials like Filthy 50, FGB II, etc.

Isn't peanut butter sooooo delicious (why does it have to be a forbidden Paleo food?... so cruel)!!!! I have a hard time passing my pantry knowing its in there calling my name... trying to cut back like you too. Doin the 3bl protein but have a hard time upping the fat... I try and then think about the cellulite on my ass and don't do it even though I know my thinking that way is not right. Good job to you and MK on the extra run today... goin the extra mile or 2... YEAH!
ReplyDeleteOkay... 2x the fat... did it at lunch and was all good... just have to conquer my warped mindset is all i guess... thanks for the push! As far as the honey goes yes its carb/sugar but Paleo where stevia is not. I was technically cheating with the creamer which is why I wanted to get off of it and my ultimate goal is to go black with my coffee. The honey is a stepping stone for me (maybe I'll even get off coffee altogether... wouldn't that be sweet.)I think you just need to decide if the stevia will be a cheat/not gonna give it up thing for you. I really didn't want to give up the creamer I so love but at the forefront of my mind every time I would pour it in was the thought "this stuff is not meant for us to consume" and NOT good for my body. Thinking that way helped me to ditch it. Hope this ramble of mine helps.
