WOD: Front Squats 5x3 @ 92.5% of 3RM (145) = 135: 125-135-135-135-135. Felt good. I am just glad it wasn't another triple!! ;)
It's Christmas Eve Eve and at times I can't believe it~ as a kid growing up, there seemed to be so much preparation and build up to this time, to the 'big day'. As an adult, that has subsided a little bit, not much, but a little. This year, however, it really has 'snuck' up on me personally- mostly because we have a sick family member (Paul's grandmother) who needs our care- most other things have been put on the back burner lately, or just haven't mattered.....but here it is the 23rd and I go in and out of being at peace with it feeling like 'just another day' and my daily routine (I am a creature, for sure)~ and then, really making an effort tot make these next few days special in some way. I am not with my family this year which is kind of yuck for me, but this too, shall pass. All in all, at the end of the day~ I know I am blessed and that all will be well~ it really is a wonderful time of year to remember that!

Here's too much info for you: (I am a little bit Chatty Kathy today apparently):
FYI- I am at 11B and 1x fat, (since the week after Thanksgiving) and feel great so far. I am taking in about 6B carbs/day, so my day looks like 11-6-26ish usually and am getting through daily WODs just fine. When the New Year rolls around and my training schedule changes a bit (read: increased work load), then it will be interesting to see if I feel the same. Only then will I consider changing anything up- for now, it's working great. Def feel that I have leaned out a bit; bw has dropped slightly, which is a positive to a point- if that trend continues, I'll need to adjust. OK that's it- just felt like sharing....

ReplyDeletei listed the ~percentage~ of protein to carbs to fat that i consumed for that entire day, rather than the number of blocks. while adhering to the zone-block concept, i'm monitoring how MUCH I eat, as well as the percentage of protein to carbs to fat that i consume per meal and on a daily basis, while also focusing on clean eating. I am using the kary recommended site fitday.com to track this. is a v. cool site!
I know what you mean about Christmas. It's not as special, and most definitely not so special when one's family is not around. My parents are up North this year. I think this will change when, some day, we have children of our own. Christmas will again be magical, and the anticipation will be both great and long. :)
